Design Options

Consultation: If you have any questions that need professional answers, or for just an in-depth evaluation, call us. An estimate for items discussed can be given if desired. No design or sketch is done. A $50.00* fee is applicable.

On-Site Sketch: If a rough sketch or design is beneficial for one area of the yard, ex. front (by the house) back (against the house), side, along a property line, etc. that can also be done. Included will be an estimate for that work. This is often, but not always, done on-site at the first meeting. A fee starting at $50.00* per area is applicable and finalized at the initial meeting.

Design/Master Plan: For a more detailed plan involving one extensive area or for an entire property to be considered requires deserved concentration. A Design/Master Plan would be highly recommended. This enables the designer to consider the whole propery for optimum tie-in of elements now always available in small area designs. This is ideal for large projects or a phased installation. Construction details can be provided, if necessary. For this option, a fee starting at $200.00* applies and is quoted at the initial meeting.

Designs are drawn to scale showing all details of new or existing plantings, constructed elements, etc. All these include an on-site meeting to discuss what wants and desires we can help you with.

*Design Fees are refunded if Delhi Landscape Services installs all or part of the design.
($500.00 minimum installation work required for refund.)

• Fully trained, experienced and Ohio Certified forement and crew members work from detailed plans and instructions, ensuring accuracy in execution of your plan.
• A wide variety of quality plants and materials are used.
• We use the right plant in the right place using proper planting procedures to guarantee success for many years.
• Delhi provides removal and disposal of existing hardscapes (i.e. concrete, timbers, etc.)
• Delhi provides removal and disposal of overgrown vegetation or scrub growth.
• We have equipment for soil preparation or stump removal.
• The planted area is professionally prepared from start to finish for healthy growth.
• Soil is amended and rototilled to loosen soil and add nurtrients.
• Weed preventer is applied and soil is fertilized to start your landscape out right.
• Quality mulch is added to retain moisture in the soil, reduce weed growth, and insulate the soil from temperature extremes damaging to plant roots.
• Beds are edged for a crisp appearance.
• Customers receive a full, one-year guarantee on plants and labor, if you should need it.

Hardscapes

By definition, any landscape feature that is made of inorganic (non-living) substance is considered a "hardscape" material. Many beautiful and attractive portions of a landscape include hardscape features, i.e. stone walls, paver patios, statuary, etc.

We at Delhi Landscape Services can design and install hardscapes to create an oudoor living space. By integrating these materials with carefully chosen plantings we can create a cohesive, enjoyable environment for you.

Services:

• Decorate drystack (mortarless) stone walls - various sizes and types of stone to complement any style home.
• Paver patios and walks - concrete and brick pavers in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and patterns.
• Retaining walls and terraces - mortarless concrete modules, treated timber, etc.
• Water features - from simple liner pools to complex waterfalls.
• Irrigations, lighting, or fencing services - provided through the expert professional subcontractors we use.

Maintenance

Delhi Landscape Service offers the following to help you maintain the appearance of a professionally detailed landscape. Additional services such as general clean-up, edging beds, etc. are also available.

Scheduled Maintenance: Monthly, seasonally, or yearly trips can be scheduled with a Landscape Designer to ensure your landscape looks its best year-round. The scheduled maintenance program will be tailored to our needs.

Pruning: This is essential to stimulate new growth throughout the shrub as well as maintain size and shape. We schedule pruning trips for flowering shrubs based on bloom time of the shrubs to facilitate full blooming. Rejuvination pruning is also vailable to stimulate growth throughout the shrub and avoid the "leggy" look of bare stalks at the plant base.

Mulching: Mulch protects plant roots and helps retain soil moisture. It is also a good deterrent for weed growth. Raking or fluffing existing mulch is done before adding fresh mulch.

Fertilizing & Weed Protection: Yearly or seasonal applications of fertilizer and/or weed preventer will ensure full growth and healthy plants throughout your landscape.

Winter Protection: Evergreens can be sprayed with an anti-desiccant product to prevent moisture loss through leaves or needles when the ground is frozen and the roots are unable to draw up water.
